Unbiased equation error identification and approximations: a frequency-domain solution and its performance analysis

چکیده
We consider a frequency-domain solution to the leastsquares equation error identi cation problem using the power spectrum and the cross-spectrum of the IO (inputoutput) data to estimate the IO parametric transfer function. The proposed approach is shown to yield a unimodal performance surface, consistent identi cation in colored noise and su cient-order case, and stable tted models under undermodeling for arbitrary stationary inputs so long as they are persistently exciting of su ciently high order. Asymptotic performance analysis is carried out for both su cient-order and reduced-order cases. Computer simulation results are presented to illustrate the proposed approach.

Large Scale Experiments Data Analysis for Estimation of Hydrodynamic Force Coefficients
This paper describes the various frequency domain methods which may be used to analyze experiments data on the force experienced by a circular cylinder in wave and current to estimate drag and inertia coefficients for use in Morison’s equation. An additional approach, system identification techniques (SIT) is also introduced. A set of data obtained from experiments on heavily roughened circular...
متن کاملFree and Forced Transverse Vibration Analysis of Moderately Thick Orthotropic Plates Using Spectral Finite Element Method
In the present study, a spectral finite element method is developed for free and forced transverse vibration of Levy-type moderately thick rectangular orthotropic plates based on first-order shear deformation theory. Levy solution assumption was used to convert the two-dimensional problem into a one-dimensional problem. In the first step, the governing out-of-plane differential equations are tr...
متن کاملImage encryption based on chaotic tent map in time and frequency domains
The present paper is aimed at introducing a new algorithm for image encryption using chaotic tent maps and the desired key image. This algorithm consists of two parts, the first of which works in the frequency domain and the second, in the time domain. In the frequency domain, a desired key image is used, and a random number is generated, using the chaotic tent map, in order to change the phase...
متن کاملHigh-order Least Squares Identification
In order to ensure that the estimates of system parameters are unbiased and efficient, most identification schemes including the Prediction Error Method (PEM), and the Subspace Method (SM), are based on minimizing the residual of the Kalman filter, and not the equation error (associated with system model) as the residual is a zero mean white noise process whereas the equation error is coloured ...
متن کاملAnalytical Solution for the Forced Vibrations of a Nano-Resonator with Cubic Nonlinearities Using Homotopy Analysis Method
Many of nonlinear systems in the field of engineering such as nano-resonator and atomic force microscope can be modeled based on Duffing equation. Analytical frequency response of this system helps us analyze different interesting nonlinear behaviors appearing in its response due to its rich dynamics. In this paper, the general form of Duffing equation with cubic nonlinearity as well as par...
